    Initially Healthwatch Oldham identified that a number of complaints about access to the service, eligibility and patient information had been received by the local Patient Advice and Liaison (PALS). This resulted in this joint project.

    As of 1 June 2022, Oldham’s Independent Complaints Advocacy Service will be transferred to Cloverleaf Advocacy and therefore will no longer be delivered by Healthwatch Oldham.

    Following on from a successful project we did on looking at Digital health, we worked with Northern Care Alliance on the challenges faced with remote appointments after the COVID-19 pandemic.

    Healthwatch Oldham undertook a survey with people who are seeking asylum or have refugee status and reside in temporary accommodation in the Victoria Hotel in Chadderton, Oldham.

    The project included 209 Health Literacy Questionnaires and 7 in depth interviews undertaken with parents with children under 5 within the Failsworth GP Cluster.

    Our next survey is asking for your feedback on accessing cancer screening, knowing which cancer screening you can access and your actual experience of any cancer screenings undertaken as a transgender, intersex, non-binary or gender fluid person.

    Leesbrook Medical practice invited Healthwatch Oldham to carry out an engagement exercise with their patients to under their views on the quality of the matron service being provided by the practice.
